This is one of the most unique, detailed and comprehensive policy paper written by BrassTacks on the present geo-politics of war in the Siachen glacier regions. The snakes like Imtiaz Alam and the useful idiots like Nawaz Shareef want a unilateral withdrawal of Pak forces form this critical region. What they do not tell is that by withdrawing from the region, Pakistan would lose not just the K2 but also the entire Gilgit Baltistan region and the Karakorum highway and its borders with China. With India already occupying over 1200 sq miles of Pakistani territory in the region, a unilateral withdrawal would mean a complete encirclement of Kashmir and a most disastrous national security crisis for Pakistan. India is involved in massive defense construction in the Glacier regions and has no intention of pulling back while it brings more and more hardware to consolidate its position, counting upon the snakes like SAFMA to create a environment in Pakistan for a unilateral withdrawal.
