For over a decade, I am the only analyst in Pak who has been saying that as long as US stays in Afghanistan, there can be no peace & that US can only be forced to leave through military defeat which will force an exit deal.
US has been humiliated indeed but it has not been crushed comprehensively. The present "deal" was only a deception by US to gain time & to give some election support to Trump.

Once the US leave, there will be civil war, as it was after the Soviets left.
